Robin Alexa

When I was about six years old, I used to spend hours playing games with my chemistry toys, mixing it all together with my watercolours or colouring with my mom´s food colorant until I would get horrible, sticky materials to create paintings in large blocks of paper.
I want to spend the rest of my life exploring, learning, and showing my work.
I work with a variety of mediums, create my own style and develop creative projects. I write little poems that inspire me, and do a lot of pen sketches in my notebook.
My pieces tend to green, as a reflection of nature. The dark forest, sinister place of fairy tales. Naive, erotic, with a mystical madness, and almost seductive. The fusion of imagination and memory, love stories and my own childhood, like facing a nostalgic era. Inspired by the almost silent sound of a flute and violins, in pale colours, the use of the body through space, and the use of liquid elements.
“The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease for ever to be able to do it.”
J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
